CIB Students Gain a Global Perspective Through Summer Study in Italy

By Loyola University on Wed, 06/10/2026 - 11:29

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น We are already halfway through our Summer Study Abroad Program in Italy โ€” and what an incredible journey it has been so far!

Our students are not only studying in Italy; they are beginning to experience what it means to live like Italians. From daily life in Rome to cultural immersion, academic engagement, and weekend explorations, they are gaining a truly international perspective.

๐Ÿ“š This summer, students are taking two courses:
๐ŸŒ A course offered by our Center for International Business on how to do business in Europe
๐Ÿ›๏ธ A second course offered by our Italian partner, the American University of Rome

Students are also personalizing their experience through courses and activities that connect them more deeply with Italian culture. Some are studying the Italian language, others are exploring Italian food and culture, and others are taking advantage of being in Rome to study photography โ€” walking through the city, capturing amazing shots, and visiting unique ancient historical sites along the way. ๐Ÿ“ธ

The program began with a wonderful welcome dinner ๐Ÿ, followed by a special visit to Palazzo Madama, the historic home of the Italian Senate. Since then, students have continued to explore Italy in different ways: some visited the Amalfi Coast ๐ŸŒŠ, while others spent time at Lake Bracciano ๐ŸŒฟ.
And this is only the halfway point.

Already, our students are feeling almost Italian โ€” and they will return to the United States with new perspectives, stronger cultural awareness, lifelong memories, and a deeper understanding of what it means to learn, live, and do business in a global context.

Bravi, studenti! The second half of the journey awaits. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡นโœจ
